How to disable SiteAdvisor of McAfee antivirus without any error

McAfee antivirus is a popular antivirus that offers advanced and reliable security tools and services. You can install McAfee on your Windows, Android, Mac, and iOS devices easily. For the Chrome browser:


  • Open your PC and go to Chrome browser

  • Go to More Tools, Extensions
  • Now you have to remove the Checkmark on McAfee SiteAdvisor
  • Click on OK button
  • Now your McAfee SiteAdvisor has been disabled.


For Internet Explorer Browser:


  • Open your Internet Explorer browser and go to Tool menu
  • Click on Manage Add-ons
  • Choose McAfee Siteadvisor
  • Hit the Disable button


For Firefox Browser:


  • Open the Firefox browser
  • Go to the stacked menu icon
  • Choose Add-ons
  • Click on Disable option


Once you access the website and do your work then make sure you enable it immediately before your device gets into any type of error. If you have a McAfee Siteadvisor standalone software then you have to uninstall it.

Removing McAfee WebAdvisor from Windows:


  • Close all the running programs and browsers
  • Go to the Start menu
  • Go to Control Panel
  • Now click on Programs and Features
  • Choose McAfee Webadvisor
  • Hit the Uninstall button


Follow the on-screen commands to uninstall McAfee Siteadvisor and then restart your PC.

Removing McAfee WebAdvisor from Mac:

McAfee Webadvisor for Mac is not available. It is an inbuilt tool of McAfee Livesafe. So you have to disable McAfee WebAdvisor from McAfee Livesafe. Here are the steps for disabling McAfee WebAdvisor from Mac:


  • Open your Mac device
  • Go to LiveSafe for Mac
  • Click on Identity option
  • Go to McAfee Webadvisor
  • Now tap the lock for making changes
  • A prompt may appear on the screen
  • Enter your password
  • Now toggle the switch to Off


Tap the lock for saving all the changes. After accessing the site; you must reinstall McAfee Siteadvisor on your device immediately before your device gets into any malware attack.
